Business Loans & Financing
We prepare and submit business and SME loan applications to banks and to SME Digital (formerly SDFC), with the plan, projections and documents lenders expect to see.
Most loan applications are slowed down by the same things: a thin business plan, projections that do not hold together, or missing documents. DBS Maldives prepares business loan applications in the Maldives so that a lender can assess your proposal quickly and on its merits.
- SME and business loan applications to banks and other lenders.
- SME Digital (formerly SDFC) loan applications, made through its online process.
We check eligibility with you first, then prepare the business plan, the financial projections and the document pack, and handle lender questions until a decision is made. The lending decision always rests with the lender.

Can DBS Maldives help me get a business loan in the Maldives?
Yes. We prepare and submit your application to banks or to SME Digital, including the business plan, financial projections and supporting documents, and we answer lender queries with you. We cannot guarantee approval, because each lender makes its own credit decision, but we make sure your case is complete and clearly put.
Where can a small business in the Maldives borrow money?
Banks in the Maldives, including Bank of Maldives, offer SME and business financing. SME Digital Private Limited, formerly known as SDFC, provides Shariah-compliant financing for micro, small and medium enterprises. We help you decide which route suits your business before any application is prepared.
What do lenders look for in a business loan application?
Lenders look at whether the business model makes sense, the risks involved, how the business earns revenue, the capability of the people running it and its ownership structure. A credible business plan, realistic financial projections and complete documentation make that assessment easier and strengthen the application.
Do you charge interest or lend money yourselves?
No. DBS Maldives is not a lender. We are a business support firm that prepares and manages your application to a bank or financing institution. Any financing terms are set by the lender, and we confirm the current requirements with you before you apply.
